Although being rich of natural resources, Vietnam still faces energy problems as other countries.
According to a specialist at convention recently, the Vietnam’s energy consumption has grown more quickly 1.8 times than economy growth. As expectation, energy demand will increase 2.5 times in 2015 and 5 times in 2025 compared with the current consumption.
It’s stated that from 2010, Vietnam has remained signal of unbalance in demand and supply from domestic energy sources, especially the electricity from hydropower which is variable due to lack of water in dry season and excess in rainy season.
For the solution, it’s proposed that the functional agencies must have smart approaches in order enterprises and residents, especially in urban area, acknowledge the importance of energy saving, manage effectively the energy, use energy saving solutions.
