The UK leading telecommunication company wishes to invest in Vietnam

The British Telecom has made initial contact with the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) in order to find the opportunities to participate in the Vietnam telecommunications market.

British Telecom said that Vietnam is one of its key markets in the future. The company is also in the process of learning about the Vietnam Government policies that are currently applied to foreign investors in Vietnam as well as policies in the telecom sector. Particularly among which is the ratio of capital contribution of foreign companies in joint ventures in Vietnam.

In addition to the MIC, British Telecom has also met VNPT and Viettel to discuss about the telecommunications market.

In the next 1-2 years, there will be strong waves of investment from foreign enterprises in Vietnam telecommunications market.
