Over the time, Quang Nam has made many efforts in administrative reform. The departments, branches, localities and units have closely followed the set goals and tasks, implemented the application of information technology in management, administration and provision of public services. Thanks to administrative reform efforts, up to now, the business and investment environment in Quang Nam has been significantly improved, creating confidence for domestic and foreign investors to trust and make investments.
According to the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform of Quang Nam Province, in the first 5 months of 2021, departments and branches have advised and promulgated 25 legal documents; The Provincial People’s Committee issued 12 decisions to publicize the list of administrative procedures, authorizing department directors to carry out 54 administrative procedures.
Up to now, the agencies, units and localities in the province have processed 23,484/25,706 dossiers (of which, 23,276 dossiers were settled on time, accounting for 99.11%); received and processed online at level 3 and level 4: 8,077 dossiers (accounting for 36.53%).
In particular, by the efforts in the field of administrative reform, up to now, many positive changes related to many aspects of administrative management have been recorded. Of which, the province’s governance and public administration efficiency index 2020 (PAPI 2020) has been increased by 1 rank (from 22 to 21); PCI in 2020 of the province reached 65.72 points, ranked 13th in the ranking of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, ranked 2nd in the Central Coast region and in the group of provinces have good index; The province’s information technology application index ranks 28th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
In addition, Quang Nam is the second largest province in attracting FDI in the Central region, more and more international investors choose Quang Nam as the location to make investments in the services and industries. With administrative reform efforts, Quang Nam hopes to become an investment destination for domestic and foreign investors, in order to bring the best revenue for investors and the province’s economy in the future.
